your love is a moth | Cithara Patra

you’re drawn to my light
my small, flickering glow
though tiny, you move in
like a moth fluttering about

you caress the nape of my neck
your kisses tickle my throat
your soft touch dances along
my body as you embrace me

like the moth, you take me in
you can’t survive without my flame
you surround me while your shadow
drapes over my warm, quivering body

together, we’ll stand in the light
basking in the rays and warmth it provides
for your love is a moth drawn to my fire
and we’ll never be torn apart
