Heart Lines | Sarah Voight

my heart line curves
along the crescent moon
creating a space for you to rest
your back pressed against the ledge
feet dangling off the edge
you trace it with your stick in the sand
the waves flood in and take it back with them
my heart line bends to wrap around your hand
and when I let go
it finds its shape again
it bends and breaks
curves and aches
ebbs and flows
again and again
