Spring Tide | Sarah Voight

It’s when the sun and moon align.
The masculine and feminine join up,
like something written by Jean-Luc Godard,
and they need an entire ocean to hold their love.
They drink it up,
after making love,
to quench their thirst.
Because they have to combine,
like bees on cherry blossoms,
or rabbits creating more young.
For these lovers it’s twice a month,
during her brightest and darkest time,
to make their spring tide.

Sarah Voight is a multi-disciplinary artist based on the outskirts of NYC (aka NJ). She is the Knight of Cups, on a mission to find beauty in every pocket of the world. Her work has been published or is forthcoming in over a dozen journals and magazines in the past year.
